Oh, where? Oh, where has my little dog gone?

Last post from Alemania was two weeks ago. Still no word on when kids fly home. Proceeding with plans as if it's a go based on Vanessa's last post. Indy invites go out by this Friday, if we hear for sure what the plans are. Cars will go for tune-ups and road readynes checks no later than July 2nd. Especially since I just found a nail in one of the Crusier's tires. One last shopping trip to Cash & Carry before Adela gets here and then....just breathe.

Guten Abend

Well, It's been a week since I saw Lance. He had a layover in Chicago, so naturally I went up there. After much lost time we got to spend a little time together. He was not able to shed anymore light on the wedding situation. So we are technically in a holding pattern. We do have rooms reserved in Mankato and travel logistics figured out, 9 people means two cars, since a HSB is running $800wk or 1/3 of the budget. I have to get the kids to approve the wording of the Indy invites yet and their choice for a cake topper. I hope they reads this and they get a move on selective afore mentioned item. So much for now more to come, ya think?

Its getting closer!

Got wedding invitations last week, so things are moving along. I have been holding off to verify that the kids will get to come stateside. Talked to Lance, he said that if for some reason they can't come, they will have some sort of military ceremony, I hope we get invited. School is out the first week in June. Our new contract( night job) should start July I and that's when we schedule our first two weeks off, but summer school (day job) starts July 9th, only from 7:30 to 11:30 am though so any Indy function will be cool. If no new contract then I'll have a lot of time on my hands and be broke for awhile.

Vanessa's post about me made me cry. I am sorry I ever mentioned her penmanship, I enjoy reading her blog as well as Lance's and hope some day she'll forgive me and write again. Let us rejoice and be glad she finally knows the source of her discomfort and is soon feeling better.

So here we go! The wedding plans begin, I don't want to deviate too much from the original idea of cupcakes, pizza and beer, but, let's just say plus size it. How apropos, ya think? I found a cupcake tower thingy that allows for a small cake with topper at the top tier, plus 100 cupcakes, check. Lance wants Hostess cupcakes..okay one stop shopping at Walmart. Pizza and beer readily vailable in Mankato, check. Armory decorations, one stop shopping at Party + (again how apropos)[backed off of Stumps], check. Almost there...what's left? Oh, well we'll figure it out as we go. Feel free to let me know what's still on the to do list.
